The conditioned space includes all of the building. The heating load includes ventilation and totals 43.2 MBH, 11 BTUh per square foot utilizing Augusta weather data with its heating design temperature of -3° F. The indoor unit outputs are derated to account for refrigerant line lengths as per Diamond System Builder and the difference between rated output at 5° F and the outside design temperature. The building is divided into eight zones served by two multizone heat pump systems. The projected building energy consumption was estimated using BeOpt; results are below.

The solar array capacity is 14.685 kW; PVWatts.nrel.org predicts generation of 18,887 kWh annually, plus or minus 662 kWh. The generation should cover the consumption despite the worse than expected performance of the multizone heat pumps in heating mode.
